About us
we are an organization of three people. Lexi McCann, Josh Patterson, and Chloe Stephan. we are focusing on making life for dogs with ALS disease more comfortable and less depressing. the reason why we want to do this is because when we we were much younger we had a dog who was diagnosed with ALS. our dog became lethargic and depressed and didnt want to eat. the fact that he couldnt use his hind legs anymore made him extremely depressed and we began to worry so we got him a wheelchair. the wheelchair made his spirits lift but we noticed he still wasnt very comfortable. later that year he passed away but boxer will always be in our hearts. this is why we want to help dogs with ALS be more comfortable.
About Boxer
when we first got boxer he was about 10-15 weeks old. He was the absolute CUTEST puppy i had ever seen in my entire life. When we first met him and his litter we immediately knew who we wanted. Of course we wanted each and every one of them. But Boxer stood out from the rest. When we brought him home he ran around the house chasing his tail and barking at every noise he heard. He stopped barking as he got older and began to just cuddle and love us. But when he turned 8 he didn’t want to do anything anymore. He just wanted to sleep. This got us worried to we took him to the doctor. The doctor diagnosed him later that week with ALS disease. Our family was heartbroken but we did everything in our power to make him comfortable for the rest of his life that he had with us. About a month later is when we got him gis wheelchair. He started moving around more but the wheelchair couldn’t fix his state of lethargy. About 6 months later boxer passed away but we know he’s in puppy heaven running around with all his other puppy friends.
